Questions, a bug, or an idea? Email us. We usually reply within a few working days.
Please include your device model, your iOS version, the game's version (open the pause menu, then Help & About) and, for a bug, what you were doing just before it happened. A screenshot helps a lot.

For parents
Haystack Factory is rated 4+ and made for everyone, including children and families. It has no ads, no chat and no account, and it collects no data.
- Ask a grown-up. Before any purchase starts, and before the game opens a web page in Safari (the Privacy Policy, Terms of Use or this Support page), it shows "Ask a grown-up" with a multiplication question written in words (for example, "What is seven times eight?") and a number pad. A wrong answer brings a new question, and three wrong answers close the check. Restore Purchases doesn't ask, because it doesn't buy anything.
- Apple handles payment. Every purchase goes through Apple's own purchase sheet, which asks for Face ID, Touch ID or the Apple Account password. We never see payment details.
- Turn off in-app purchases. On your child's device, open Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions → iTunes & App Store Purchases → In-app Purchases → Don't Allow.
- Ask to Buy. With Family Sharing, turn on Ask to Buy for your child in your Family settings. You then approve or decline each purchase from your own device, and an approved purchase arrives in the game automatically.
- Bought by mistake? Request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com (see Refunds).
- Cancel Haystack VIP. Open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Haystack VIP → Cancel Subscription (see Haystack VIP).
Frequently asked questions
I bought something and don't see it. How do I restore purchases?
Open the pause menu (the button at the top right), then Help & About → Restore Purchases. The Farm Shop (pause menu → Farm Shop) has a Restore button too. Make sure you're signed in to the App Store with the same Apple Account you bought with.
- Double Coins and Golden Detector are permanent: they come back on every device signed in to that Apple Account.
- Starter Farm Pack adds its coins to your farm once. Restoring it confirms you own it; it doesn't add the coins a second time to the same farm.
- Haystack VIP comes back for as long as the subscription is active.
If a purchase is "waiting for approval" (for example with Ask to Buy), it arrives as soon as it's approved.
How do I manage or cancel Haystack VIP?
Haystack VIP is an auto-renewable subscription (monthly or yearly; the yearly plan can start with a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers). Apple handles it, so you manage it in your Apple Account settings:
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Haystack VIP, or open the App Store, tap your profile picture, then Subscriptions.
- From there you can switch plans or tap Cancel Subscription.
Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period (or the free trial) ends to avoid the next charge. VIP stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the game doesn't cancel the subscription. Full details are in the Terms of Use.
How is my game saved?
Automatically. The game saves your barn every few seconds while you play, and again whenever you open the pause menu or leave the app. There's no account and no "save" button to remember. The save lives in the game's private storage on your device, and you can play fully offline.
Is my barn backed up? How do I move it to a new iPhone or iPad?
Your save is part of the game's data on your device, so it's included in your device's iCloud Backup (or a backup on your computer) if you have one turned on. You can check in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → iCloud Backup. The backup is optional and run by Apple; we can't see it.
- New device: set it up from your iCloud Backup, or use Quick Start to transfer from your old device. Your barn comes along with the rest of your apps' data.
- Installing the game fresh without restoring a backup starts a new barn. Your purchases can still be restored (see above), but progress earned by playing is only in the save.
- Deleting the game deletes the save on that device. A copy may remain in your most recent iCloud Backup.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds ourselves.
My Game Center scores don't show up
Game Center is optional. Check that you're signed in under Settings → Game Center, then play for a moment so the game can report your needles and achievements. You can play the whole game without Game Center.
What data do you collect?
None. There's no account, no tracking, and nothing is sent to us. See the Privacy Policy.
